Scripture (the Bible) is the rock solid revelation of God, from God to us, and it’s our chief source hearing from Him.  The Bible is loud about some things and quiet about others when it comes to preferences of lifestyle and choice.  We aim at being loud where the Bible is loud, and quiet when it’s quiet.  So our political views and musical tastes and preferences in style are free to be diverse.

 

We are made with intent by God for His pleasure, and made to take pleasure in life.  God made us to enjoy good food and good drink (including alcohol with moderation).  God made us to enjoy good relationships which includes great sex (within marriage).   God made us to enjoy beauty, art, music and nature around us as well as many other avenues.  Most of all God made us to enjoy Himself and He is our source of true joy and satisfaction

 

The only problem that mankind faces is sin and all other problems are symptoms of sin. Sin not only is the cause of all our problems but it also condemns us to hell.  Jesus is the only man to never sin, because He’s the Son of God, and is the ONLY answer to our problem of sin.

 

The church is not for good people.  It’s for real people.  The church is the standing invitation, to us, to enjoy relationship with God and His adopted family… us.

The church is what Jesus is doing on earth and is His passion.
